Responsible Gambling
Practical safeguards for Canadian adults using gambling services. Updated August 13, 2026.
1. Gambling is paid entertainment
Casino play carries a real risk of losing money. Bonuses, strategies and positive reviews do not convert gambling into reliable income or debt repayment.
2. Legal age
Use gambling services only if you meet the legal age in the province or territory where you are physically located. Canada does not apply one identical age threshold everywhere.
3. Set limits before playing
Set a money limit and time limit in advance, use only money you can afford to lose, avoid chasing losses, and do not borrow or use essential household funds for gambling.
4. Read bonus and withdrawal rules
Promotions can add wagering requirements, maximum-bet rules, time limits and game restrictions. If fast withdrawals matter more than a promotion, consider whether activating a bonus is worth the additional conditions.
5. Warning signs
Repeatedly exceeding a gambling budget, hiding spending, borrowing to play, missing work or family obligations, feeling severe distress after losses, or constantly trying to win back money are signs that gambling has stopped being ordinary entertainment.
6. Use operator controls
Where available, use deposit limits, time reminders, cooling-off tools, account limits or self-exclusion. This review site cannot apply or remove controls on a MineBit account; those requests must go to the operator or the appropriate local service.
7. Seek local help
If gambling is causing financial, family or psychological harm, stop gambling and contact a qualified local support service in your province or territory. In an immediate emergency, contact local emergency services.
8. Review content is not encouragement
A casino review, bonus table or affiliate link is not a promise of profit or a recommendation to gamble. The purpose of this site is to present conditions and risk signals before a user decides what to do.
